"Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for the one who loves another has fulfilled the law."

Romans 13:8

All St. Cuthbert parish groups invite new members. The Greeters Guild is no exception. As the first point of contact the simple act of holding a door open and saying "Hello" is so easy and yet so vital. The act of warmly welcoming people into our parish cannot be overstated. This is the same as you would do for visitors to your home.

The St. Cuthbert Greeters Guild members are your fellow parishioners who attend the 10:00 am Sunday services as well as services for major festivals.

Our role is that of a welcoming first contact with the parish. During major festivals and special services, we also monitor the parking availability and re-direct drivers, as necessary, to where additional parking may be available.

Another duty for the greeters is the processing of the Eucharistic elements at the start of the Offertory. We are also available to circulate the White Boxes during selected Advent services. White Box donations are used in the assembly of Christmas hampers donated to families in need within our parish.

If you are seeking a way to become involved with parish activities that is easy and with few demands, please consider being a greeter.

The next time you come to church, stop and chat with the greeter and ask how to get started.

If you have any questions please contact the church office at 604-594-8822 or email info@stcuthbert.ca.
